Drunk Elephant’s C-Firma Day Serum:

For this lovely #texturetuesday I am coming at you with.......⁣ ⁣ DRUNK ELEPHANT C FIRMA DAY SERUM REVIEW!⁣ The one you all have been waiting for and requesting is finally up for review on this beautiful #texturetuesday with a nice (blunt) honest breakdown. ⁣ ⁣ This little baby packs a PUNCH with key ingredients: 15% L-Ascorbic Acid, ferulic acid, and vitamin E all blended in an antioxidant, firming, & brightening serum!⁣

C Firma is hands-down the most unique and effective vitamin C serum I have ever tried. Even the texture is more of a lux facial oil with added thickness than your basic serum. This serum glides on easily, only using one pump per day, and absorbs very quickly. ⁣ ⁣

People have many comments on the “smell” of this serum due to the high percentage of L-Ascorbic Acid (vit C) which to my pleasant surprise does NOT smell like oranges. The orange/citrus smelling C serums you (and I) have tried in the past have most likely contained artificial fragrance/parfum. Drunk Elephant prides themselves on clean ingredients which leaves this serum smelling like your typical BURNT orange smell😂 nothing “pretty” added. But this smell dissipates as the product soaks into the skin, so don’t worry!⁣ ⁣ Let’s talk about application. I’ve tried applying this serum on its own, which is great, but slightly sticky like I’m sure you’ve heard. The stickiness, again due to L-AA, can be taken care of by applying a moisturizer on top and then you’re good to go! Or, the alternative, I’ve mixed it in with B Hydra (which is DE’s vit B hydration serum with hyaluronic acid- but that’s a whole separate post for another day).. I chose to mix with their B Hydra because it’s a very light weight moisturizer AND I have learned that Vit C and B play very nicely together and can enhance the brightening and toning effects. By mixing these, I do not experience the stickiness anymore!⁣ ⁣ FINALLY, lets talk the results and long term effects. This potent serum has insane skincare benefits packed right into the “brightening” qualities. It also includes ingredients that fight aging and free radicals/UV photo damage. For me, this serum has completely evened out the tone of my complexion. I used to have red patches around my nose, my cheeks, and chin. After just a week of usage my skin completely evened out. (It could take your skin longer to adjust that was just my experience). The post-acne hyperpigmentation that I had been suffering from all along my jawline was lightened and brightened within a few weeks. Since using this serum, I’ve noticed my fine lines are plump and there’s no signs of new wrinkles beginning to form. ⁣ ⁣ Overall I completely adore the glow I get with this product.
