Sephora sale recs 2022

There were so many great launches this year in the skincare, makeup, and hair/body categories that I have a fair share of recs for this years sale! As always, do not feel pressured to shop the sale there will always be more in the future. Skincare--


SKIN HEALTH (& GUT HEALTH) supplements:

  1. The combo of being on a great probiotic and the use of an LED face mask, has completely kept my rosacea flare ups at bay. 1st cleanse:

  1. Squalane Cleanser by The Ordinary $19.90/5oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692564 This has been my favorite first cleanse for 2 years now. I have purchased countless bottles of it. It is my favorite for a few reasons— one being that a large tube is less than $20. It also has a relatively simple ingredients list with a slim-to-none chance of irritating your skin, even in its most fragile state. I have used this when my skin is perfectly happy and healthy and also when everything (not this) has stung my face because my moisture barrier was out the window. This is so creamy, it melts down into a luxurious oil, and removes all of the days grime + makeup + spf. It’s perfect.

  2. The Camellia Oil by Tatcha $50/5oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692565 If you’re looking for that boujee cleansing experience, this is ya girl. I used to reach for this daily before finding out about the squalane cleanser. This is such a luxurious oil that feels very soft and silky on the skin. It does a great job at removing all makeup and leaving your skin perfectly clean. The price is the only thing that stops me, but again if you want a pleasant cleansing experience then you should consider it!

2nd cleansers:

  1. Pure Skin cleanser by First Aid Beauty $24/5oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692566 My top pick for anyone with sensitive skin— I have been through multiple tubes of this cleanser and it is one I can’t always count on. It never stings my skin if it’s angry, never strips my moisture barrier, and doesn’t contain anything that will irritate me. It has no fragrance and just has a nice creamy and hydrating texture. It lightly suds and rinses away clean. A very very good, no frills, cleanser at a great price.

2. Super Amino Gel Cleanser by Summer Fridays $35/5oz : https://go.shopmy.us/p-692560 This is a really luxurious jelly textured cleanser that feels almost like a cool glass of water to the face. It has a low pH, so it’s not stripping and really good for acne prone skin, and nothing that is potentially irritating. It contains amino acids to help hydrate the skin and comes in aesthetically pleasing packaging. This also lightly suds but leaves a clean and hydrated finish to the skin. I really enjoy using this one!


Toners/Essence:

  1. SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray by Tower 28 $28/4oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692572 This is a staple in collection. Such a great multi use product to have on hand, I use it to wipe down and disinfect my LED mask after use, I use it on spots on my body that have an eczema flare, I use it on my kids, I use it to mist my face whenever I have a rosacea flare or feel any irritation coming on. It works wonders to soothe ALL of the things.


2. Ultra Repair Wild Oat Hydrating Toner by First Aid Beauty $24/6oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692568 An old go-to of mine. This was the original “cream skin” before Laneige was brought to Sephora. This one has a lighter texture, while still being nourishing, ultra soothing (more than cream skin), and doesn’t leave that annoying greasy residue. I always personally loved that this smells faintly of oats. At such a great price point, this one was a must have for me.

3. Cream Skin Toner by Laneige $33/5oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692574 For when you want a little more of an “elevated” experience, or if you have super dry skin. True dry skin people, or anyone using a prescription retinol, will love this product. Not greasy nor heavy, but a little more “ooomph” than the wild oat toner by FAB. If you want to be able to feel a tiny layer of protection for your skin, grab this one. Very creamy and you can layer it to be able to skip your moisturizer as well, if your mornings are rushed.

4. Adaptogen sooth + hydrate activated mist by YTTP $42/4oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692581 This is another old reliable favorite. I do want to warn, this has small amounts of lactic acid in it, so if you are sensitive or allergic to that acid, beware. It never has irritated me but if you have a TRULY compromised barrier, take caution. This is a great *barrier supportive* mist to keep skin healthy and clear. It helps with redness, is hydrating, and has one of the finest misting components I’ve ever seen. It’s a good one!


Serums:

  1. Dream Oasis Deep Hydration Serum by Summer Fridays $44/1oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692559 This was probably one of the most exciting (to me) launches by Summer Fridays this year. I absolutely love this serum. I need it in a giant bucket size. So creamy and nourishing yet super lightweight. This will be your best friend this winter because it’s more of a few serums into one, for me. It helps control redness, supports your barrier, plumps the skin, hydrates all day, and it never clogs your pores. Great for sensitive and acne prone skin!

2. Barrier+ Triple Lipid Hyaluronate Serum by Skinfix $50/1oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692578 This is such a nice lightweight almost jelly serum. I really love this one for plumping the skin and helping to soothe. There’s a lot of skin barrier supporting ingredients in this and it has made my skin more resilient. One of the best hydrating serums at Sephora!

3. CC Me Vitamin C + Niacinamide Serum by Summer Fridays $66/1oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692557 Hands down the best vitamin c serum at Sephora. This has gentle Vit c derivatives that are not only potent and effective, but incredibly gentle and hydrating for sensitive skin. This whole serum is an elevated experience. The packaging is perfection, it dispenses the perfect amount, the serum is almost a milky jelly that feels very silky on the skin, and it has a pleasant natural scent to it. This is very plumping and hydrating and can easily be your one and done serum before moisturizer/spf. It’s worth the price tag. 10/10

4. Tower 28 SOS Intensive Redness Relief Serum $34/2oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-730713 You may notice the ingredients lists look similar or identical to the SOS spray, but when I tell you how I was a *believer* in T28, suggesting to layer the two products for “maximum results”… it’s a yes from me. I had a very bad product reaction recently that no product could take away so I took their suggestion. Within 48 hours my reaction was gone. I believe this serum is for those HELP ME moments specifically, yes, but it worked dramatic wonders when layered with the spray.

5. The Serum Stick by Tatcha $48/0.28oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692575 Yes she’s pricey, but if you’re like me and get random patchy/dry flakes around your face throughout the day and you live in a cooler climate, you might need this one. Thank me later. I use this everywhere on my face. At night if I’m desperate to lock in my routine so it won’t evaporate off my dry ass face, I swipe this everywhere. Throughout the day to either protect my eyes from drying out, or touch up my crusting concealer, I use this. It’s a life savor!


Moisturizers:

  1. Jet Lag by Summer Fridays $49/2.25oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692556 A classic that has gotten a makeover (reformulation) this past year to be even better for sensitive skin. I have been LOVING this as both a wash-off mask after a long day where my skin feels dried out or as an overnight mask. It’s especially great for your eye area as a thick mask and/or sleeping mask. This offers a protective film over the skin for overnight. I’m a rough sleeper and almost all of my skincare is wiped off by morning, leaving my skin dry. When I rinse with water in the morning, I can feel that there’s actually residue from this still on my face protecting it. It’s very nourishing and very soothing. I reach for this almost everyday!

  2. Cica Sleeping Mask by Laneige $34/2oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692579 An oldie but a goodie. You can’t go wrong using this as your night cream and/or sleeping mask in the winter. It’s so lux and lightweight feeling, almost cooling, but it’s so nourishing and repairing. This always handles my redness and if I’m irritated. Such a good one! I have emptied 2-3 jars of this, they do last forever.

3. Adaptogen Deep moisturizing cream by YTTP $58/2oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692580 One of the best products that YTTP has created. Soothing, hydrating, and very light weight. A great no-frills moisturizer for irritated skin.

4. MILK makeup vegan milk moisturizer

Reviewed here on my IG— https://www.instagram.com/p/B7JwEf7Hmlp/?igshid=NDc0ODY0MjQ= THIS ONEEEEE. I found this cream when it first launched a few years ago and fell in love. I used up so many jars of it during the cooler months and have recently started reaching for it again. Such a great thick, nourishing, soothing dream with no scent and just makes your skin glow. It helps with irritation and boosts your moisture barrier function. It’s a dream, really, and highly underrated.

5. Skinfix barrier+ triple lipid-peptide face cream $52/1.7oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692576 I have two creams that I love from this brand, one is a gel cream (listed below) and the other (this one) is their thicker lipid-rich version. This is such a great restorative cream for when your skin is feeling more dry or more irritated than usual. It’s also the perfect maintenance of your barrier, cream!

6. Skinfix barrier+ Skin barrier niacinamide restoring gel cream $48/1.7ox: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692577 This cream is so refreshing! If you’re looking for a great lightweight moisturizer that still gives you a dewy glow, and is fragrance free, try this one! I love their signature pump top packaging as well.

Facial Oils:

  1. Heavenly Sixteen All-In-One Face Oil by Summer Fridays $55/1oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692562 I think this is the best facial oil I’ve ever tried? Especially for acne prone skin. It’s *just what your skin NEEDS* when you’re feeling dry or even when you need a little balancing when you’re feeling oily. It is a whopping blend of multiple oils that are so beneficial to your skin. It never breaks me out and I currently use it either mixed in with a lighter moisturizer during the day, or layered over my night cream at night to lock in my routine. It’s perfection!

2. Ultra repair oat & hemp seed dry oil by FAB $34/1oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692584 A great, very lightweight, dry-oil feeling, facial oil at a good price. This is an old favorite that I was crazy about when I had it in my collection.  Very calming and doesn’t make you a greasy mess. A fan fav of my combination skin.

3. Superberry hydrate + glow dream oil by YTTP $44/1oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692588 This was the first facial oil I ever loved. Somehow this brings hydration to my skin, plumps it’s up, and makes it GLOW. This also smells like cream sickle, which isn’t the best when my skin is irritated, but any other time it’s a dream to apply. I love how silky and lightweight this oil is.


Eye cream:

  1. Light Aura Vitamin C + Peptide Eye Cream by Summer Fridays $42/0.5oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692558 My favorite eye cream of entire 2022, goes to this one! This is the first eye cream I have opened a SECOND jar of! I love it. It helps so much with my morning puffiness, helps with fine lines, darkness around my eyes, and instantly makes me look awake due to the reflecting properties. This is also the first brightening eye cream that doesn’t cause irritation to my eyes. Love love.

2. Guava Vitamin C Bright-Eye Gel Cream by Glow Recipe $38/0.5oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692589 I received a sample of this cream and actually fell for it. The texture alone makes me come back to this one. I love how it feels cooling on my eyes, it’s very lightweight but feels so nourishing. It brings down my puffiness and it will probably help overtime with my dark circles. It’s a pleasure to use.

  1. Sunvisor moisturizing sunscreen SPF35 by Saie $37/1.35oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-692600 I love this new formula of their sunscreen. It perfects the skin and Makes you glow without looking greasy.

These are pricey but no one does powders like Hourglass does. They are incredible pressed powders that genuinely give you that lit from within glow. Their palette creates a full face with blush, bronzer, a setting powder, and highlighter all in one. They are so versatile and beautiful. I highly recommend!

  2. Dae signature conditioner $24/10oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-736955 This is a thicker conditioner which doubles as the perfect mask for my dry ends, when left in for a few mins. This duo makes such a great team to perfectly balance your hair. Also the best smelling duo I've ever tried!

Dry shampoo:

  1. Amika perk up talc-free dry shampoo (original version) $26/5.3oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-736967 An OG favorite for a reason. This leaves zero residue, zero grit in your hair, and feels weightless. I've gone through numerous cans of this one!

2. Amika perk up PLUS extended dry shampoo $29/5.3oz: https://go.shopmy.us/p-736968 The OG dry shampoo got an upgrade and I can't believe it's actually better! This one does last about a day or two longer without reapplication on my heavily oily hair. Again, no grit on your roots with this. Such a good one!


Hair oil:

  1. Kerastase Elixir Ultime Hydrating Hair Oil Serum $52/3.4oz https://go.shopmy.us/p-736978 while the mini is $24/1.7oz https://go.shopmy.us/p-736980 thus more cost effective buying two minis. This is a holy grail ALL IN ONE product for me. This is my detangle product when wet, my heat protectant while blow drying, and my finishing oil to smooth. I also use this to rehydrate my day 2, 3, etc hair. This brings so much hydration and shine to my hair that it's worth every Penny. Hair treatment/ leave in:

  1.
