You’ve never heard of Allies of Skin?
Yeah, me either up until about 4 months ago. The brand that is currently taking Instagram (and finally the USA) by swarm, was founded by Nicolas Travis right in Singapore. His first creation was the 1A All-day mask, which begun formulation in 2014, but was not released until 2016. This legendary product has now been renamed and repackaged into Peptides & Antioxidants firming daily treatment, but this is only 1 out of 10 incredible formulations in the line. Nicolas Travis has the most glowing and flawless skin I have ever seen, but he too once struggled with acne. He created his brand, all formulated without silicones, parabens, sulfates, drying alcohols, synthetic fragrances, and dyes with mineral oils, to work synergistically with your skin. These 10 products are to be the backbone of each skincare routine, as they are jam packed with powerhouse ingredients and actives to be highly effective yet gentle on the skin.
Nicolas Travis’ clean skincare line is packed with ingredients: vitamin C, retinol, and antioxidants that have a supercharged concentration for maximum effectiveness. Each ingredient has been clinically proven to deliver results. I have currently “fully tested” 2 of his products and am ready to share some thoughts. Due to the price range of his collection, I chose to purchase the Promise Keeper blemish sleeping facial and molecular savior probiotics repair mist, first. As you may know by now, I struggle with hormonal acne and have dehydrated, combo/dry skin. The number one thing I appreciate the most about his formulas, is that YES each and every one is packed with actives for max effectiveness, BUT they have incredibly hydrating and nourishing counter-ingredients that balance the product out so that it is as gentle as possible for your skin. If you’ve been wanting to try the brand, i’ll warn you: you’ll be hooked from the first product you pick.
Promise Keeper blemish sleeping facial:

This product immediately stood out to me on the website, not only because it has won numerous beauty awards, but because it’s basically promising to help clear acne from your skin. It comes in a lovely pump tube packaging, I’m definitely a sucker for air tight packaging like this, at 50mL and retails for $120 USD. Yes, WOW that is pricey, I totally agree. But I went ahead and purchased it anyways and I am so glad I did. I believe that price tag is jusitifed, simply because the ingredients are top of the line, but also because this product has singlehandedly replaced half of my skincare routine. I used to have to layer and layer on essences of all thickness’, hydrating serums, thin cream then a thick cream, and seal it all in with facial oils. Now, I can have a normal ”short and sweet” routine without feeling like my face is shriveling up throughout the day. Let me back up a bit—
The promise keeper facial is an overnight treatment that is supercharged with a powerful blend of 17% Anti-Blemish Complex, 15 antioxidants + brighteners, colloidal silver, and organic rose hip oil. This baby is also packed with medical grade Manuka Honey (yes yes, my fav), niacinamide, and the dream team blend of acids: dioic, mandelic, lactic, and pyruvic. Don’t let these powerful ingredients scare you, they are beautifully “cushioned” with hydrating and nourishing ingredients so that there is zero irritation or sensitivity. For example, I have extremely sensitive skin and can only use “acids” 1-2 times a week, max, right now.. I have been using this product every single night for a full 2 weeks with absolutely zero irritation, and I only have a HAPPIER moisture barrier than I ever did before. With all of this wonderful-ness aside, I have also cleared all breakouts, prevented future ones from occurring, lightened up previous PIH marks, and healed my moisture barrier all with the use of 2-3 pumps each night. I’m not trying to sell you this, honestly I’m not, but if I knew this product was out there and could actually help me years ago, I WOULD WANT SOMEONE TO TELL ME. My mind was blown with this product alone, but lets move on.
Molecular Saviour Probiotics Repair Mist:

At the steep price of $55 USD for 60mL of product, I thought I was crazy picking this up. I had almost hoped I wouldn’t like it so that I never had to worry about repurchasing. I was sadly mistaking this for a “regular” facial mist. She is composed of an alcohol-free aloe and rose water base and a reparative blend of Probiotics and 6 Antioxidants like Lactobacillus Ferment, Niacinamide, and Açaí Berry that are to leave your complexion glowing and dewy. My favorite quote from their website about this product “our mist is supercharged with a special anti-evaporation molecule so that it clings to skin cells instead of simply vanishing.” THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEED MY FACE COATED IN. Every spray of this miracle mist is to deliver a potent dose of soothing actives and restorative nutrients like colloidal silver, silk amino acids, and ergothioneine. I absolutely love that they add on their website the clinically proven data of “clinically proven to reduce acne lesions by 42.7% in 28 days.”
I have been using this product, also for 2 solid weeks, AM + PM right after cleansing. I have found I most like spraying 3-4 pumps into my hands to pat into the skin like a toner or essence. It leaves my skin incredibly smooth, soothed, conditioned, and GLOWING. I was so pleasantly surprised by this all star product and will definitely repurchase it in the future.
I was just recently gifted a few more products from the brand to try: their newest addition molecular silk amino hydrating cleanser, their 35% vitamin C collagen rebuilding serum, and the triple hyaluronic antioxidant hydration serum. I have already begun to incorporate these into my routines and am anxious to give my thoughts on them. I think I will be doing another blog post of those 3, next.. stay tuned and thanks for reading!
